No Man’s Sky hasn’t officially been released yet (although a few gamers have managed to get their mitts on the game early) and Hello Games have already announced the first update.
According to the official No Man’s Sky website the update will be pushed out on Monday, just in time for the games official release. While many expected the first update to be a fairly minor bug fixing release it appears that it will actually be quite substantial.
A few days ago, on the subject of players who have somehow had early access to the game Sean said:
The update notes appear to point at some major game changing tweaks and additions that suggest that the game we’ll be playing will be considerably different from the one that early pre-release players have seen, in the blog post Sean suggests that players with early copies should start afresh otherwise they’ll miss out on core experiences and content.
If you’re intrigued about the update you can find the full release notes on the No Man’s Sky website, however, we do warn you that the notes contain some minor spoilers.
Sean also confirms that future game updates should be free for both PS4 and PC players.
No Man’s Sky launches on PS4 on August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe, and on PC worldwide on August 12th.
